Cargill started palm oil and specialty fats operation in Malaysia by acquiring Port Klang refinery facility in 1991. Since then we have expanded and upgraded our plants to state-of-the-art facilities to focus on customer needs and requirements. Today, we operate and manage 3 vegetable oil refineries in Malaysia, located in Port Klang, Kuantan and West Port.
We produce various specialty oils and fats to cater different food applications i.e. confectionery, bakery, dairy, infant nutrition, frying and more. In addition, our newly built West Port refinery has enhanced our capabilities to refine various soft oils namely soy bean, sunflower, corn and canola oil. Our products are delivered to customers in more than 65 countries around the world. Consistent quality and reliable supply chain have made us well-known and trusted throughout the world.
Our facilities are fully HACCP, GMP B2, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 22000:2005, FSSC 22000, Kosher and Halal certified to meet the stringent needs of consumers and customers world-wide.
We are also committed to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil throughout the supply chain. Our facilities in Malaysia are RSPO supply chain certified for the segregation and mass balance supply chain model.

Confectionery
At Cargill, we know there are many factors - taste, mouthfeel, appearance and stability that shape the sensory experience of confectionery. We also understand that different applications require different formulas. That's why we have created an innovative assortment of specialty fats formulated to meet every confectionery need, from moldings, coatings, dips and toppings to fillings and spreads.
Our specialty filling fats offer a range of melting profiles to accommodate a variety of applications, processing and product supply chain handling requirements and sensory experiences.
We also offer many low trans fatty acids and non-hydrogenated solutions to meet the clean labelling requirements.
