Cocoa & Chocolate

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate Asia Pacific is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and was incorporated in June 2013. We function as a commercial hub in Malaysia with a cocoa processing facility in Surabaya, Indonesia which commenced operations in December 2014. As part of our innovation initiatives we have dedicated application centres  that solves complex product challenges with sophisticated application expertise. These application centers test new ingredients and ingredient combinations, match products, and investigate how product performance varies depending on the application and manufacturing process. 

Products and Services

Cocoa Mass – We produce cocoa mass where the delicate and complex properties are preserved to ensure our customers can convert it into consistently high quality chocolate. 

Cocoa Butter – We offer both deodorized and non-deodorized butter to suit our customer’s preferences. 

Gerkens^® Cocoa Powder – Our cocoa powder is sold under a trusted brand, Gerkens^® and comes in three forms:

• Natural Flavor
• Medium Alkalization
• High Alkalization

Sustainability

In sourcing for cocoa beans, we are  committed to the Cargill Cocoa Promise which was launched in 2012 and is making a real and lasting difference to farmers and their communities across five origin countries – Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Indonesia, Ghana, and Brazil.

The aim is to accelerate progress towards a transparent global cocoa supply chain, enable farmers and their communities to achieve better incomes and living standards, and deliver a sustainable supply of cocoa and chocolate products.
