Cargill’s Agriculture and Supply Chain business distributes grains, oilseeds and other commodities through our networking ability to connect producers and users globally. Our integrated supply chain management enables us to source, process, transport and distribute grains and oilseeds around the world. These include foodgrains, feedgrains, oilseeds and oilseed by-products including oils and protein meal.
The grains and oilseeds business was established in Malaysia in 1996 to market feed grains and protein meal to serve the Malaysian market. We then extended our in-country supply chain management services to the feed mills and livestock industry. Key products such as corn and Argentine High Protein Soybean Meal are originated through Cargill's global origination system and crushing plants.
We also market other ingredients such as feed wheat, corn gluten meal, canola meal and distilled dry grains and solubles (DDGS).
Cargill recognizes the importance of an efficient supply chain and distribution system in delivering raw materials at the least cost and in a timely manner to our customers. We have grown from handling 200,000 metric tons of grains and protein meal a year to more than 800,000 metric tons a year.
